Emberville Demo: When You Can Play the Steam Next Fest Demo

When and how to play the demo

The Emberville demo is part of Steam Next Fest October 2026, which runs October 19–26 (the event window opens 10:00 PDT on the 19th and closes 10:00 PDT on the 26th). During that week:

1. Open the Emberville Steam page.
2. Download the free demo (available while Next Fest runs).
3. Play — the demo is the first public hands-on build of the game, including the combat, classes and town systems.

Press and content creators get access earlier, from October 8, which is where most early gameplay footage will come from.

What the demo is for

A Next Fest demo is a slice of the game that the developer chooses to show. For Emberville — an action RPG with classes, skills, loot, and base building — the demo is your chance to feel the combat, look at the early class options, and decide whether the loop clicks for you.

What we do not know yet

The exact content of the demo has not been announced: how many classes are playable, how far into the dungeon you can get, or whether saves carry into Early Access. We will not guess. Once the demo is live on October 19, this page will be updated from firsthand play.
